Since retiring and moving to Northern California in 1998, I have devoted the major portion of my time to developing my photographic skills. Subject-wise, I seek out nature's beauty in all its forms, as well as the uniqueness and attraction of people and places in different cultures. I travel extensively throughout the American West and overseas.

I greatly enjoy the challenge of photography in all its facets, from the quest of taking a pleasing image with its considerations of composition, appropriate exposure, and other factors to capture the magic of light. An additional challenge is the making of a superior print using Photoshop as a substitute for the traditional darkroom. Professional quality demands the use of archival inks and paper, as well as 8-ply museum quality matting.

My photography is on permanent display at the Riverfront Art Gallery at 132 Petaluma Boulevard North in Petaluma, California (www.riverfrontartgallery.com), and periodically at other galleries and exhibitions.
